All about Me..

Well...I'm 26 years old, I was born in Washington but am now a California girl. I'm not sure when my love for hair started but know my pony tail always had to be perfect! When I was in high school I went to a hair show with my friend Morgan and her mom Debbie. I've had different colored hair since and now work with Debbie. I was also a receptionist at a salon in high school and got a good behind the scenes idea of being a hair dresser. After graduating from Highland HS in 1999 I took computer graphic classes and was on a waiting list for beauty school. After the first day I knew I wanted to do hair, so I dropped my college classes and went full time to cosmetology school. I attended Paige and Lancaster beauty schools and thanks to Mrs. Daggs, Mrs. Thompson and Ms. Claire I made it through and built a good foundation to start from. I got my license in November 2001 and worked at a local salon. In June of 2002 I got a great opportunity to open my own salon Cutting Edge in Quartz Hill. At 21 years old I learned the ins and outs, ups and downs of running a salon. I had a good group of friends to work with and still work with them, thanks Debbie, Lavonna and Debbee. We did cut-a-thons where we donated all money made to people in need and still participate in the Stand Downs where we provide hair cuts to the homeless vets for free. We even decorated my truck and drove it in the Palmdale Christmas parade, we got 2nd place for best decorated vehicle! In September 2006 I closed Cutting Edge. Thank you to all my clients and friends who helped, all the new friends and people I met and my mom. In October my team and I moved down the street to ALL ABOUT ME SALON. I love my new home away from home and my new friends! I continue to learn and grow, go to classes, hair shows and try new things. I recently became certified for Dream Catcher hair extensions by Paris Hilton. I got my Honda Element wrapped for advertisement, so look for the Paris mobile driving around
